Quiet, comfortable neighborhoods and more than 600 acres of public parks give residents in this community a serene sense of living. Welcome to Farmington Hills.
Farmington Hills is the second largest city in Oakland County and is about 20 miles northeast of downtown Ann Arbor. Homebuyers have a range of options, from modern townhouses to charming and historic craftsman style homes.
Although the two cities have separate services and addresses, Farmington and Farmington Hills are often thought of as the same community. The community features a recently renovated, charming downtown with several boutiques, a vintage cinema called Civic Theatre, numerous restaurants, exotic car dealerships, art galleries, and public parks including Heritage Park and Shiawassee Park. Residents also enjoy grabbing fresh produce at the Farmington Farmers Market. There are several historical sites including the Longacre House and the Governor Warner Mansion. Farmington Hills is also the home of the Holocaust Memorial Center, the only Holocaust Memorial in the State of Michigan. The Center’s mission is to educate the public about the tragedy and evils of the Holocaust.
Farmington is also an international community that embraces cultural diversity. Companies from around the world have selected Farmington Hills as an ideal place to do business and our residents speak more than 80 different languages. Yet our citizens also enjoy all the charm of an old-fashioned small town, thanks to our close relationship with the historic City of Farmington.
